N. Fla - Reni's Rooster closing!
 

Reni's Rooster in Bayard, just south of Jacksonville, north of St. Augustine, will be closing it's doors Tuesday, May 27. I can't make the final blow-out party Memorial Day weekend, but I will be there Sunday, May 18. I won't be on the bike (good thing), but if any of you forum members are there, let's hook-up and have a few cold ones.

Damn, it's been a long time since I was there.Is the yacht club closing too? Wasn't the prettiest place to visit but it has a good feelin when you walk through the door. Dave...

I am fairly close to there in Lake City, FLalthough beena whilesince been there think can give a little more info on where it's located is a nice trip from Lake City to there all back roads... until almost there.... Thanks..

I think the opening of the Yaght club is the reason for closing the Rooster.

Reni didn't want to close, but her lease was terminated. She will do fine on the northside.

P.S. The weather kept the crowd down this past Sunday, but we still closed it down. They have a big bash memorial day weekend to send it out in style.

Found out that Irene and Marty tore the place up when they vacated the building. Some of the stuff had been in there for years&nbsp\\;and had been passed down from previous tenant.&nbsp\\;Not cool at all...

I live ten minutes away and have been watching them make progress on fixing the place up (not too much of course or it wouldn't be the Rooster! LOL)

Can't wait for it to reopen.&nbsp\\; That place is a home away from home for us bikers.

I hope to get back down there in August if not sooner. I heard rumor it may re-open, but you gave me the proof. I will call my buds and let know that they can quit crying in their beer - relief is on it's way!

LOL I know how they feel!!!!!&nbsp\\; When I heard they were closing I was so sad.&nbsp\\; That place has been there as a biker bar for well over 30 years.&nbsp\\; It's just not the same going by there without see the front door wide open, the flags flying above and anywhere from 2 to 100 scooters parked out front.&nbsp\\;
