Hell no!!!!  Here in the North East and any other area of our great country that sees snow and crappy weather for 4-6 months out of the year and the roadways are treated with salt and are icy and not good for riding.  I say - good weather, clean roads while they are here - if I get that I'm going feeling - I'm out of here.  I enjoy my bike and the time that I have on it that I'm not going to let gas prices hinder my sport.  I know gas prices suck and if it gets much worse I will have to cut back some where else - But it sure as hell aint gonna be the bike!!!!

Hell no! At 40+ mpg, the V-rod see a lot more daily riding and just as much no-destination-in-particular riding.
According to Harley, most HD owners have disposable income. I dispose of mine on tires, gas and tires. If the price of tires would come down I could ride more. I believe this is a problem endemic to the V-rod.

Mine is my new communter vehicle. The Escapes don't get the best gas mileage and I figure the high gas prices are a great excuse to get out on the bike more.

With my truck probably getting around 10-12 mpg driving in the city and my bike averaging about 36 mpg, I am making it a point to avoid the cage and ride my bike more often.

I am going to date my self but... back in '79 during one of Jimmy Carter's manufactured gas shortages, my wife and I took a motorcycle/camping trip to Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks.  The Parks were half empty and gas was easy to get.  I keep hoping that this will happen again.

So, do me a favor.  Tell your city neighbors that once they get 50 miles outside of town they are going to see closed gas stations and $5/gallon gas if they can find an open station.  If we work together, we can make this an enjoyable summer.

Nope! Not cutting back on anything.  Took SUV to Vages two weeks ago.  Took 3/4Ton Hemi Quad Cab to a bicycle ride.  Bike weighs 20 pounds.  Fits real good in the 8 foot box.  Life is too short to worry about what things cost.

...if you have the kind of cash to not worry about it...  Salud, Don Corleone!

My problem is that I've got this expensive motorcycle addiction that takes up all my extra cash.  I'm seriously considering running drugs or something so I can afford more.

Negitive. The least impact gas prices have is on the bike.

My diesel truck sets in my driveway more and more these days. The FLHRS will definitely rack up more miles this year than last. But I am intrigued with millzog's logic about his neighbor's fuel tanks. Hmmm...I wonder if my neighbors use high octane gasoline in their vehicles?

Lucky enough to have a company vehicle.  That said last time I tried to start my dodge diesel  the batteries were dead.  I ride every chance I get.

Riding my bike is my favorite thing to do that doesn't involve my wife.   I'm not about to cut back riding over a couple of dollars.  If anything, I'm trying to use the bike for more non-recreational rides to save money.

Why should we worry about gas prices? Us Harley owners make $80,000.00 yr, haven't you heard?

I've been riding my bike more than ever.  My last fill-up I
got 42 mpg.  If anything I would like to know what I could do to get better gas mileage.

I had intended to do the route 66 Seligman to Kingman run in my 62 pickup last weekend, but decided to forego the nearly 300 mile (from my house) round trip and instead rode my Sportster to Kingman to merely view the show. Day cost me less than $20 instead of almost $200!
I'll cut back on boating this summer, but riding the motorcycle is eco responsible and economical, so I expect to be riding MORE!
