Personally , standard stock........

Better aim ( yes you do need to aim a shotgun virginia*), Faster follow up shots and when the prosocuter holds it up for the jury at your neglegent homicide trial, It does not look nearly so scary to the Jury of sheep**.

*A shotpattern expands about 1" for every yard travelled. What is the longest shot in you house? Mine is5 yards meaning a5 " shot pattern, Still a very easy miss.

** If you kill someone , no matter how good the shoot is expect to be charged, Assume the cops are your worst emeny and STFU until you speak to a Lawyer!!! The jails are loaded with people that had "good shoots" but said the wrong thing to the cops.

You are of course NOT using bird shot correct?

Mossberg mariner with rubber bullets. Yea, I know WTF. But, I talked to a guy who got hit by one and thats what he has in his shotgun at home. Non, lethal, sort of.

Sorry - but if ah'm gonna pull the trigger on a firearm, the target will be hit with a lethal discharge. If things are at the point that ah'm shootin', then ah'm in fear of mah life, or the life of others - an' there ain't no free pass at that point.

#4 shot is actually an outstandin' load for home use. Won't overpenetrate (through one wall and into the next room an' hit someone), but if they're in yer face, you WILL ruin their day. Reduces risk of collateral damage....

Pistol grip stocks, while looking cool are a bear to shoot.
Try a Knoxx recoil reducing one.

Sorry not true.... Expect 3 walls minimum......... ( I assume you are talking #4 Buck , not #4 Bird)
