Does anyone have ideas to stopping or slowing down engine oil getting into the primary case? I took my '90 flh apart and changed the lh case seal, not knowing the seal bushing in the case could be the culprit. Of course, there is still engine oil in the chaincase. How about a gasket between the stator and the case? Cases are not what I had planned for this bike. Thanks!

Usually when you have oil migrating between the engine & primary it is the front motor sprocket shaft seal & bushing. If you replace it yourself then you want to make sure the seal goes in with the open side facing the primary. Replace the bushing as well because it is difficult to tell if it is out of tolerance. When you are in there look for any scoring on the shaft and wiggle the shaft up and down a bit to see if oil squeezes out between the case and the bearing as it is not supposed to and could mean the case is worn out of tolerance and needs to be replaced. I would also replace the bearing while you are in there.
