Is that normal?

I have an 08 RKC. It's been a little slow to start lately but runs ok and getting great fuel mileage.

I had read in another post, that I can't find anymore, that made a comment about a possible fuel pump problem and said that it was spraying inside the tank. Out of curiousity, I opened the cap while the engine was runing. It looked like a driving rain storm inside the tank.

Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

Possibility of a bad hose or clamp on the hose inside the tank.

V-Rods have a known issue with the fuel flange breaking.  The pressure hose will back spray a mist into the tank that is easy to see with half a tank.

They will start stumbling at high throttle.

Don't know about the Road Kings, tho.

Can`t say about any problems with 08`s but the older bikes use to have problems with small pin holes in the feed line to the fuel bung.

Yep you got a problem in there better take it apart and figure out what it is soon before you find yourself stranded.

Bring it back to the dealer since it's under warranty and let them fix it.

Thanks for the responses.

Took it in today and they found a bad oring on the fuel filter assy.

Of course they didn't have it a stock and it was too late to order today. Get it back Thursday.
