RE: A trip to hell and back...
Coming home from Sturgis through Kansas last year was the hottest I've EVER been riding. It was scary hot. You literally had to stop every hour for fluids and to rest.http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/h...hRN/may7-1.jpg

I was thinking of getting one... Some of the bikes in the pack had their engine lights come on at one stage... mine didnt! we had a vrod with us that also overheated althought it is a water colled bike!!!

RE: A trip to hell and back...
Summer hasn't even started here and the temps. yesterday were already 120, at 10:30 in the morning. It can get up to 130 in July with 100% humidity.... That's basically 'off-season' for us... We'll sometimes ride, but only at night!!![sm=badbadbad.gif]

RE: A trip to hell and back...
I spent 13 months in the south of Afghanistan. I feel your pain! I would fly 7hr missions dressed to the nines with body armor, survival vest, helmet, etc...and no air conditioning! Taking the doors off helped. Except, if felt like a giant hair dryer.
