Coming home from Sturgis through Kansas last year was the hottest I've EVER been riding. It was scary hot. You literally had to stop every hour for fluids and to rest.

Summer hasn't even started here and the temps. yesterday were already 120, at 10:30 in the morning. It can get up to 130 in July with 100% humidity.... That's basically 'off-season' for us... We'll sometimes ride, but only at night!!!

I spent 13 months in the south of Afghanistan. I feel your pain! I would fly 7hr missions dressed to the nines with body armor, survival vest, helmet, etc...and no air conditioning! Taking the doors off helped. Except, if felt like a giant hair dryer. m.a.c.

In the 90's in Dallas yesterday high in 70's today. I was amazed how cool the engine ran with my new build. I was dreading the heat coming. It looks like the tune did its job. Ran all day with no problems. I wasn't in any traffic for any long period that will be the real test. I know west of us the temps were high.

It was 100 yesterday in South Texas - we went up in to the hill country (Leakey) and back, about a 200 mile round trip. It was great in the morning but smoking hot in the afternoon. That's part of summer! Wear sunblock and drink lots of water. Travlinman314 - yours was named satan too? Damn, what a coincidence!

I went on a nice ride yesterday since coastal temps are still bearable here in FL. Dreading the upcoming summer heat. I hate that hot wind that gives no cooling affect (Blow Dryer Syndrome)! I've been thinking about a heat deflector but I'd like to get a clear plexiglass type delfector. Looked all over but all I found was tinted/smoked. Anyone know if they make a clear heat deflector? Thanks!
