Post-dyno I got some advice from Doc on what to mess with and what to leave alone on my SERT map. I have a air/fuel table that I am really happy with. I have been playing around with my spark tables, looking for that sweet spot. I have tired every where from advancing by 1.25 to 2 degrees flat across the range. I just did a ride yesterday at +1.25 and though she ran smooth, I took away the real pull. My wife even mentioned it. She was disappointed that it didn't pull like it has before (God I love that woman!).

How high can (should) I safely go on a 10:1 compression 95" build? Should I advance the entire table equally or ease onto the advance? Is there any other suggestions? I want to base this all on running pump premium gas (91-93 oct).

Just looking for feedback on this final stage of tweaking my tune.

This is too much fun!

BUMP and update.

So I kicked my timing to 2.25 advance for everything 2500 RPM and up and set it at 1.75 for the below the 2500 mark. She's got her growl back. Now my plan it to increment the timing, run SERT with data mode until the knock-eliminator kicks in, then richen it up a bit. I'm quite impressed with how the SERT all works. With a good base tune from the dyno shop, setting all of my VE data, I am really impressed with the tweaking that can be done.

What I'm trying to accomplish is high power over 2500 with smooth and quiet running in the sub-2500 RPM range for putting through towns. I'm close.

I hope your saving each map before you get to a point you lost your un-tweeked map....lol

Idea is to get as much timing you can until it detonates then back it off a few degrees....BUT....this is for race bikes, being on the road you have to be careful adding too much timing, you never know what quality gas your going to get from place to place and you also have no control over the humidity and temp from day to day. If you push your timing to the limit and any one of the items I listed where unfavorable you can and will do damage to your motor. Think more on the lines of making a HAPPY motor and forget digging your spurs into the cylinders trying to ge each once of power she has to give.  Get the bike to where your wife is happy and be happy your self, lol...lol...lol.
