It must be  a coinidence but iread the other thread also. but yesturday someonewith a street bob was stating ifthey had a strret bob in 02 he would have boughtthat instead of a nightrain then.  I am guessing that the street bobcame out and advertised justat the right time while the dyna sport just wasnt appreciated even though it had more options, dual disk and some neat configurations.  there both nice bikes but the street bob wasnt anything new just a new name with some little changes but definetly worth it for the factory.  whats  yalls opinion.

My opinion is the Street Bob rocks. Don't know a lot about the Dyna Sport so I have no opinion on it.
I would have loved dual disc brakes on the front of the Bob though.

Even my 1980 Lowrider had dual discs up front.  Wonder why the MOCO got away from that?  Save money?

I agreee like the streetbob also.   its kinda like the new crossbones(springer classic) a discontinued model with a couple of new parts and a add campaign.  I do have to giveit to the streetbob it in Idea is the same bike but in chassis is a different bike if that makes sense.

they should have kept dual disked on all bikes.

I had an 04 FXDX, loved the bike. I was a little disappointed the the moco discontinued it. I would still own it, but I started doing longer trips, and had to get the bigger touring bike for my comfort. Heres a pic of the sport

The sport glides are cool, sales must have been the problem.I thought I might have to upgrade the brakes on my 07dyna but found them to be more than adequate.

I like my 05 Super Glide Sport but I am hesitant to replace it with a Street Glide due to it's short travel suspension.

man you are right and wrong, i agree the sport has alot to offer but hte bob kind of lit the fire for the Dyna series again, the dash is the part that i liked the most, the st bob allowed to keep the in dash speedo and not have a bar mount... either way you go, sport of bob you made a smart decision going with a dyna!

If I had to replace my FXDXT; it would be a Fat Bob or Street Bob for sure, but mines a keeper...
Obviously not enough riders were looking for a HD with the suspension of the FXDX's. It was still an FXD frame...
