I want to relocate my license plate and holder off the rear fender of my Rocker C. Has anyone done this and what plate holder did you go with? A local shop is checking on one that Kuryakyn carries but the description isnt real clear? Also, has anyone taken off the factory hardware to get the fender clean? I have heard there are two bolt holes left if you do. Some people may have some creative ways to cover these. Any suggestions and pics are appreciated.

I beleive there are 3-4 holes you need to fill.
At least 2 to mount and another to run the wire through.
I mant to remove the license plate holder and install a low profile stop/tail light.
The use the turn signals/stop lights as turn signals only.
JP Cycles has one that might fit, but I'll have to see it first.

Designed by Rick Doss, this crest-shaped taillight is made of CNC-machined chromed billet aluminum with waterfall groove accents and LED. The back has a compound curvature for a universal fitment with two screws and rubber gasket supplied. Fits most smooth rear fenders; stock fenders will require custom modification to mount.

The perfect taillight for your custom needs. These LED powered mini taillights put out maximum light for their little size. Each has the classic styling of the full size tombstone but in a smaller more sleek looking assembly. The total height is 4-1/2" and is 2-1/4" wide. The lens is 3" tall by 1-3/4" wide. These lights mount on curved surfaces with two rear mounting studs which are 1-1/2" on center. Each light has 7" wire leads and a license plate light on the top. Choose red lens with clear LED's or clear lens with red LED's. For custom applications.

I've been eyeing this derby cover license plate mount.  I can't decide if it will be to far forward from the rear and how it will look.  Any of you rich single guys want to buy and try it first?

I bought these 2 items after reading the original post.. Got a chance to install on Sat.. Took about an hour and most all of theat was figuring out which wire would be the best power source.. Mounting the bracket was a 30 sec deal.. I'm really happy with the look on my Rocker...

MJD,

What did you do to cover the 4 holes in the fender?  The pics are dark and I can't see the holes.

I can barely see in the pics. Any chance you could retake some photos outside in daylight?  I would really like to see how your bike turned out.

Mike,

Where did you get the side mount plate holder on that bike?  Also, where did you get the casings for the fender?

This is just a quick temporary fix idea.  It's a self adhesive caliper insert I picked up at my stealer.  It was $9.95.  A couple other fellas put sissy bar emblems on too.  I plan on waiting until winter and then have the holes filled and painted.

it's probably a kuryakyn and the clamp is swapped out
i seen the same plate mount on an 03 softtail & you could totally
swap it out w/ a clamp that would fit the "except rocker c " swingarm

I have been looking for one ever since I got mine. All of the Kuryakyn plate mounts have a circle id while the Rockers are the only softtail with an oval swingarm. I think I am going to get a axel mountable plate and mount it on the passenger footpeg.
