Help, My 2003 Heritage Softail started sputtering on my way home from work yesterday. I lost throttle the engine started to backfire and eventually died. It would fire again after a short wait then kinda sputter and die again. Lights are bright. Boy try pushin a Springer a mile or so..WOW. heavy bugger.I have 7900 mi it. I checked the obvious like fuel (3/4 tank of fresh gas) Battery is new in spring. One thing I did notice is that when turning on the ignition that fuel pump whine does not sound normal. It is very weak, hardly audible compared to normal. Could anyone help with this? I am thinking fuel pump, someone else thought voltage regulator..Any clues Thanks
