My friend has an '07 Dyna Street Bob and it has the 160/70 rear tire. What is the widest tire you can go to without changes and what is the best tire to buy? Also, how many miles should you get with the factory tire?

My factory rear tire gave me 8000 miles before cord started showing through. The widest tire the factory recommends is 180,or 20mm wider than stock. I am probably going to get 5500 miles from the 180. It is a softer rubber compound and has more grip than the stock tire. Handles great !

This one - Screamin Eagle 180 GT502. It's the only tire made for the stock dyna 06 and up rim. Here is a before and after pic of mine - installed this past weekend. A 200 can be squeezed into the fender but requires other modifications.
