Depends...if your only doing pipes and ac a fuel pak is fine.  I pick fuel pak up used for $50 and it works just fine.

I thought the T-Max was self tunning, so why would you need a tune??

I'm going with a fuelpak.

All this proves is that anyone you ask will have an "opinion" and we know what those are "like".  Ask some PCIII users or some experienced tuners and they will tell you not to waste your money on the T-Max or the Fuelpak.  Ask many of us Fuelpak users and we will tell you, depending on what you want/need for your bike (i.e. stage 2 or engine work), not to waste money on the others.  A lot of our bikes run great with any one of these options.  And, if there was only 1 that works, everyone would have it and the others would be out of business.  Right now, the Night Rider IED users are laughing at all of us for wasting our money.  Depending on what you need or want, there is no specific correct solution and probably never will be.

LOL - I can buy a lot of beers with that $600 I didn't spend on a T-max or a SERT and Dyno-tune.

This comment is not directed at anybody in particular, but I bet a lot of us with PCIII's, TMAX, SERT, Fuel Pak's etc think our bike is running great when it really may not be.  I don't hear any pops on decel, and my bike will go as fast as the brakes can hope to keep up with my Big Radius and SE A/C K&N.  Just saying I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of our bikes possibly mine included are running at about 85% of what they could be in the hands of a Dr. Dyno or some such expert.

You are probably close to being right.  There really is no substitute for dyno-tuning a bike.  However, if 85% of optimum is good enough to keep things running good and not hurting the bike, I'm fine with that.  I'm planning on getting mine dyno-checked, at least, as soon as I find a dealer running a dyno-day or something, just to see where I'm at.

$225 for my PCIII and $100 for a dyno is still a hell of a lot less than $800

My bike ran like crap with the Fuel Pak.  Picked up a used TMax for $600 and love it.  Worth every penny.  And next year when I hopfully upgrade my motor I won't need to a new tuner or Dyno time.  I understand the TMax is not for everyone and it is alot of money, all I can say is I'm very happy with mine.

Nightrider Xied user here. Was completely stock up until a few months ago. Bought a set of Vance and Hines straight shots and within a few weeks started getting pops on deceleration and a slight loss of midrange power. Was struggling with which fuel control device to get, couldn't make up my mind. Then heard about the Xied's and jumped on them. Installed them today along with a new K&N filter kit and took it for a 70 mile jaunt. Bike runs fantastic now. No more popping, smoother idle, more power in mid range and the exhaust sounds a bit deeper now. Also seems to run a lot cooler now (don't ask me why). I'll pull the plugs in a few days to see what they look like, (they were white).
I'm going to have it dyno'd next weekend to see where I'm at but I have a feeling it's right on the money.
