A friend and I are thinking of spending a few days in Windsor at the casino. Is there anything I should concern myself with as I have never rode outside of the states? We will both be riding up from Indianapolis. Any suggestions on attractions we should see?

If you are going to cross over in Detroit you will need to take the bridge. The tunnel does not allow motorcycles. Guns, knives, mace or any other weapons are not allowed.

Is it not better to go out as a hood ornament on some car than to suffer in agony, wasting away in a hospital bed with an incurable disease.
Other than the casino, there's not a whole lot to do unless you want to get some Cubans (cigars, not people ) Although you can find good eats in the Little Italy section of Windsor. The exchange rate is pretty even at the moment. I went to Toronto in January and the exchange rate sucked! I would also do your currency exchange at the duty-free shop on the Detroit side. It may not be the case now, but back in January, the Canadian border exchanges were closed. We had to do currency exchange at the hotel. I've never riden a bike over the border but have been harrassed by Canadian border agents because of my NRA sticker on the back of my truck.

If you have a passport, take it. I think (not sure)you can still cross by vehicle with a birth cert. and driver's licence though. The ballet is the other draw besides the casinos. Jason's or one of the other joints. Don't expect anything less than $25 tables at the casino. Same for the 3 casinos in Detroit.
No passport required...photo ID only, but if you have one use it. I cross on a regular basis and have never been questioned about my knife which I ALWAYS carry. No firearms allowed though. Street speed limits and distances are in KM, so highway limit of 100 is really 62. Windsor is not really much of a tourist attraction, but I hope you enjoy the trip.

You could check out the "Windsor Ballet". That's about the only reason to go over there anymore. Exchange is $1 for $1 and Detroit has 3 large casinos.

I think the passport starts in July, and its to get back into the US, not to get into Canada.. second on the two things to do in Windsor..casino and the ballet..
