Picked up a pair of hard saddlebags yesterday for my 78 sporty and now in need of the hardware as shown. Anyone have a set like these they'd be willing to part with, or know a source? Thanks, Jim

This is too funny, you beat out my buddy on the bags (lil too steep for him i guess)
and he beat you out of the hardware. LOL You buy the sissy bar too? You have one of them

I guess it is funny but not to me. I don't know why the seller didn't just sell them as a set. He didn't make any more money and made it a hassle for the both of us. Tell your buddy I'll take the the hardware off his hands for what he paid ;-)

No can do, he just found a brand new set never mounted......................
................$135.00................
There is a set on e-bay right now though, covers are a tad twisted but look pretty good.

hey if you don't mind I have a question for you. what year is your friend mounting the saddlbags?  My 78 XL has directionals comming from the fender supports and are in the way. Does he have this problem?

His is a 77 XLT. His signal lights are the same way but there are 2 holes
at the bottom of the rear fender where the signal light "bar" is supposed to be.
If yours is a XLT the holes will be there too, just under the tail light.

thanks for the reply. I now see the difference. '78 rear light assembly doesn't have the  whole to mount the direction light bar. Will have to hunt down a 77 taillight with a light bar.  Friend have an extra?
