I ha a 98 fatboy with a mikuni hsr42 carb and a manual petcock. Man gas is flowing out the overflow tube. first it starts as a drip the flows pretty good. it even dripps sometimes when its running. How hard is it to adjust the float and can you do it with it on the bike? I am aslo curious how you test the vapor valve.
Thanks Wils

You`ve probably have a chunk of crud stuck under your needle and seat.Once in a great while my s&s will drip after the bike is shut off.Usually if I just tap near the side of the carb with a screwdriver handle it clears and the flow stops. It probably wouldn`t hurt to pull the base off the carb and give it a check and quick blow out from the compressor.Toby

Yep crud in the carb, check out the needle and seat, along with the float occasionally the floats go bad. You might want to put a clear fuel filter on and check it from time to time.

Could be the float has leaked and is partially filled with fuel, hence to heavy to shut the fuel off.
