Took me a bit to find this onebuilt and paintedby a good friend, this was on a shovelhead back in the 80's and still looks good as of last year.

Rodney,

Nice tank your buddy has. Do you know where he got that narrow filler neck and cap?I've seen guys using those and would like to put one on my next tank but I can't seem to find a source for one.I suppose I could make a neck out of tubing and use apush in oil bag cap but then there's the problem of venting it.

The 80's were pretty hard on the builder, don't see much of him any more but I will do some checking to see what was used. All the club members were pretty secretive about a lot of the sources of their custom parts. That tank is all thats left of the bike which belonged to a great guy we lost years ago
