2008 vrscd v-rod 8 miles for 15300 +ttl? I havent ridden in a few years(about 10 to be honost) Will this bike be to much to start back on? I have been reading these forums debating on whether I need another bike for sometime now, but everytime I drive by a gas station they answer it for me. Thanks in advance. If I get it Im sure I'll have a bunch more questions. thanks Joey

The price seems fair for 305$ for freight and setup fees that dealers charge, most dealers dont sell below msrp. I dunno what your driving now but the V dosent do as well as the big twins for mpg, but we do enjoy winning in the mph category

Seems like a fair price.  Does it have ABS.  Yeah the mileage probably isn't the best but I am getting about 30 mpg with mixed driving (city and highway).  Maybe my mileage will get better after it is broke in.  I only got  320 miles on it.  I'd have more miles on it if it would ever stop raining.

You ask " will this bike be too much"?

What were you riding previously?

The longer wheelbase and forward controls make for a different feel than " normal" street bike.

The Revolution engine provides a significant difference in throttle response.

Many V Rod owners are past sport bike riders, who have gotten tired of the cramped riding position , but still want HP when the throttle is twisted.

The V Rod is perfect bike... IMHO... for an experienced rider who wants a more comfortable riding style, but isn't ready for a big soft easy chair with cup holders and a built in microwave.

low to high 30's for mpg but i suppose that would be a big difference from your f150.. It wasnt that big of a jump for me when my 05 chevy monte carlo got 25 mpg but the night rod is much more fun to ride

I average around 40mpg with an 06 1130cc. It really saves on tires. Sound like the 1250 isn't doing quite as good. If you rode the 750 for a while, the V-rod shouldn't be hard to handle. The D is a very easy bike to ride. The bars are in the right place and you aren't making the transition to forward controls. Sounds like a fair deal.
