Clutch adjustment?
Good synthetic trans lube?
Shifter shaft lubed?
Primary fluid change/level?

i have syn 3 in it..
the level is good...
tension is good...
last year i had the shaft seize up on me and it has been lubed...
the adj. seems good also...it doesn't lerch forward when starting in gear..starts moving at 1/4 way out and lets go at 3/4...
when the bike is off it is very easy to shift... i have no problem finding neutral..running or not...
thanks for the reply dawg... maybe it is just me!!! its a new season and its my second year on the bike..maybe i just forgot how it shifted...

Dump the syn 3 from the trans and replace with Mobil1 75w90 gear oil from autozone. 20w50 will shear out of grade and cause notchy shifting in a trans.  Go to the DIY threads and find the clutch adjustment thread if you think you need an adjustment. But try the gear oil first because it will only cost you $10-12.
