We have been wanting one for almost a year now. Today I ordered the car with the additional options:

5 degree rake triple trees
spotlight with bullet turn signal
floorboard step
stainless side trim

It will take them 90-120 days to build it and I'm having it shipped to VA. I didn't pay for any paint work since I will be having the whole bike painted a different color. They are going to send me a recommendation of someone nearby to install and set it up. The family is pretty excited about it. Now to order a matching wheel from MC Motorsports for the car.

Once installed, I want to install some stereo speakers and pods inside of it. Any recommendations?

sorry, man.  i ain't got no radio on my ride.  i didn't even know they had systems for sidecars.  you might be traveling in foreign territory.  lower your head and get it done.  do your homework and be a pain in the ass to the various manufacturers you are considering.  ask a lot of questions.  make them earn your business.

Thanks grimm. I was wondering where everyone went. I'm searching for some speaker pods and will look into mounting them inside of the car. It would be a nice feature for the passenger to be able to hear the tunes.

You have got to be excited!!!!!   I felt like a little kid at Christmas waiting for my voyager kit to be completed.  What color are you going to paint it?  Don't they say black is the fastest color?

I am not an electrician but running a couple wires from your rear speakers on your tour pack to a pair of good marine type speakers would work fine.  I have only seen a couple sidecars up close.  I wish I would have checked on them a little more.  The space is limited as far as mounting points for the speakers.  May have to go to a small enclosed box type?

As Grimm said, keep us informed with pics.   You may have to check on  one of the maintenance posts for wiring info.

Good luck.

I am excited but and will be even more when it arrives. You are correct about black being the fastest color. That is why I'm also building a 124" engine that should put out around 150 tq. We aren't sure of the color yet. I have some ideas but want the OL to be part of choosing the color. I'm trying to have her feel like this is part her bike too.

Small speaker pods were what I had in mind. I'm still searching for a source but should be able to come across something. The next step will be to have a trailer hitch fabricated so the trailer is centered on the whole rig. We will be getting a small pop up camper to start enjoying the outdoors. I figured that we would use it more if my bike was involved.

Cool Abnmarine!  We just went over last Saturday and ordered/put down deposit on our Liberty!  We will have to wait about 3 months though...we are 9th in line (for the whole shebang...getting it painted there and installed with triple trees).  He said business is VERY good right now, despite the economy.  I can see why...people want to invest in things they can use close to home, instead of going on big time vacations.

I don't know about speakers...it is a great idea though, and if you get it figured out, let me know!!  If my hubby can figure it out first, I'll let you know as well.  Although he has a service related hearing loss, and he cranks the music
VERY LOUD on is ElectraGlide!  When I rode my Heritage Softail behind him, I could hear the music pretty well, so maybe I won't be needing speakers in the hack afterall.  We shall see!

And get home safe, hopefully soon...
Margaret

I'll let you know what I find out on the speaker/pods. I'm having it sent unpainted since I will be getting the whole bike and car painted Black Cherry Candy at the same time. I will stil need to fabricate a trailer hitch receiver centered on the bike and car for the pop up camper. Between the car and camper, we will definately create many good times.

Not yet. They build each hack per the order. It takes them 90-120 days for it to arrive. No big deal to me since I return from my deployment mid July anyways. I should have it in August or early September. This will allow me to ride the bike some when I return before building the new 124" engine. I'll also be removing the tins at the same time for some custom paint. Once this is finished, I'll install the hack. So realistically I am looking at October for my cherry poppin ride .
