Well time for a new cam chain at 32540 miles....going to a gear drive with 510G Cam Kit. Power Commander and high output oil pump. Not sure on new exhaust. Sorry to see my duals go but time for a 2 into 1 to optimize performance.  Undecided between D&D Fat Cats, or Vance & Hines. Any opinions?

Bike is back. Went with S&S 510 G cams, gear drive, D&D Fat Cats, Power Commander. During the time my bike was in the shop I did alot of homework. Should had done that before I put her in the shop!. Anyway, I found out my 2004 103" had SE 253 cams with a lift of 535. So my thought was more lift more power. My old 103" had Bassani slip ons, and the usual air cleaner and chip work.
I was apprehensive that I went too conservative. Maybe I should have went with 570's. Well I'm pleased with the results. Dyno was TQ 96.. HP 97, not bragging #'s but respectable. Dealer says I could use a compression release as there's a kick at start up, will wait on that. She pulls strong from 2000 up to 5700. Pulls the front wheel going into 2nd and tries going into 3rd. The exhaust is louder than my Bassani....sweeeet. There's a considerable difference at idle. Although the cams have a shorter  lift they sound beefier. Of course they have different overall specs.  You can hear the gear drive at idle but it's not annoying.  I'm pleased with the results, but wonder what the numbers would have been with just the Fat Cats, Power Commander and tune. Well at least I'll never see those orange chips in my oil! If it stops raining here in So.Ca. I'll check out gas mileage this weekend and and overall performance.
Just can't stop thinking about those 570's....stay tuned.

I put the gear driven 510 set up in my stage one 88" heritage and it was great, kicked ass!

Had a chance to ride Saturday. Very pleased with the set up. Will leave alone. New problem...need compression release. If I turn motor off I  need to let her sit and cool off, lose pressure. If I don't the starter plates spin, and she coughs. It's like having 2 wives
