I've got a 99 Softail Custom, oil leaking out of the front rocker box at a rapid rate.  I've been told that EVO's were easy to work on so I thought I'd give the gaskets a try.  My question is, does anyone know where I can get a repair manual.  I didn't do much research and thought I'd try here first.  Thanks,  Ed

I very much prefer the factory service manual. There are others, Clymer for one but i've tried using their manuals in the past and they just weren't for me. Clymer manuals are available almost anywhere books are sold. Factory manuals are available from the dealer and some aftermarket companies. I think J&P Cycles has 'em. I believe they are also sold on eBay.

Hi,

I would get both the official Service Manual and the Parts Manual. I have them both for my 99 FXST. If you want I can give you the part numbers and with that numbers you can search in eBay for them. I bought them in eBay as in Spain is hard to get them.

Why not try the llibrary first.
You'd be surprised at all the repair manuals they have on hand.
I was going to say it's free, but it's NOT.
You've been paying for your local library for years whether you've used it or not.
