Here are a few ideas for you; I’ll try not to be long winded. The SERT gives you programming access to the main computer. It gives you 260 parameters per cylinder. It comes with base maps then you need to have it put on a dynamometer to have the fine tuning done. This is not for the novice as it requires a guy that understands what he’s looking at and where to make the adjustments. It was really designed for racing. Run it up the track then download the run results and make adjustments to the computer for the next run. I have one on my FXSTSSE.
The other fuel packs out there do pretty much the same thing; deliver more fuel to the engine. They also come with the base maps and you can make few adjustments on some of them. I have on my FLSTC a Thunder Max with the broad band O2 sensors and the auto tune. This device replaces your onboard computer and will run you around a thousand bucks. It does work well on my bike. Again it has base maps to get you close then it auto tunes to a given map.
This is another option.  http://www.nightrider.com/
Two of my buddies have them and like them real well. Very inexpensive and they set the fuel ratio to 13.7. They are inserted into the O2 sensor cables and can be installed very easily. For just a stage one modification to your bike that is what I would have done if they had been available when I made the mods to my FLSTC.
Hope this helps good luck.

Jad,

I hope you're not saying that you paid $1000.00 for your ThunderMax........

If I remember correctly with the tax and eveything it was around $900.00. Did I get burned? This was the auto tune unit with the new O2 sensors. I bought it from a sole owner of a small shop and I expect to pay a little more than a discount internet shop and I have a guy I can call and complain to should I need to.

I went with the PCIII when I originally put the Rinehart True Dials on my 07 SEUC and am very happy with the setup.  I went with the PCIII over the SERT because the dealer didn't have a Dyno to properly tune the SERT.  I had the PCIII installed and setup at Dyno Solutions.  I was just hit with the dreaded oil leak on the 110" at 9600 miles and the dealer is going to replace the cylinders.  I am taking advantage of the tear down and installing 10.5:1 pistons, SE 251 cam and replacing the PCIII with the SERT now that the dealer has a Dyno up and running to tune it.  I will end up with an extra PCIII for an 07 SEUC if you or anyone else wants it at a greatly reduced price.

+1 Sert
Get two years warranty with the bike. If you show up at your dealer with your PC3 on the bike say good buy to warranty

The issue of SERT vs PCIII has been debated here and on other forums.  Probably the best "Rule of Thumb" is to go with the one your tuner perfers and is the most proficient in tuning.  Either the SERT or the PCIII are capable of doing a good job for you.

With the Rinehart TD's I would steer clear of the FuelPak as most setups for the FuelPak are for V&H pipes and mufflers.

Good luck.

...hey hogbag07 that's funny you said that...my dealer told me that SERT voids the warranty not the PCIII...something about quick disconnect.  I wonder which dealer is full of SH!T.

Hassle free USB communication - The Power Commander USB will instantly and automatically connect to the Power Commander Control Center software once it is installed. Simply "power up" the unit and connect the supplied USB cable to the computer and PCIII USB.

Onboard notes storage - The PCIII USB stores the notes from the map in the onboard memory. This makes it easy to see exactly which map is loaded. The notes, just as the map itself, are automatically retrieved upon connecting to the unit.

Individual cylinder adjustment - All PCIII USB units have a "cylinder trim" adjustment feature that allows you to "offset" fuel to one or more cylinders. Additionally, for advanced users, the PCIII USB allows individual cylinder mapping. Now each cylinder can be mapped individually throughout the entire rpm/throttle position range.

Enhanced "file compare" utility - The PCIII USB software allows you to compare two map files without the Power Commander connected. There is a numerical display as well as a brand new graphical display.

Easier to use "button adjustment" mode - The button adjustment has been made easier by introducing a "startup delay". This lets the user have enough time to start the bike and then switch the PCIII USB into "button adjust" mode. The ranges of the buttons are now displayed in the software. Simply connect the unit to the computer and press one of the buttons. Their ranges are shown on the screen.

"Expansion port" for upgrades and accessories - The "expansion port" allows easy connection of accessories such as our new ignition module, Quick shifter, Multifunction Hub, Pressure Sensor display and LCD display unit. Automatic map retrieval upon connection - As soon as you connect the PCIII USB to the computer and launch the software, the map installed in the PCIII USB will be displayed.

9V "Power Up" adapter - Every PCIII USB comes with a "power up" adapter which allows users to program and interface with the Power Commander on their desktop without being connected to the bike. Accelerator Pump - You can adjust: A) The amount of fuel to add, B) The number of engine revolutions during which fuel is added, C) The sensitivity of throttle movement under which the accelerator pump is activated.

New Features for Harley Davidsotwo new features for the Harley Davidson Power Commanders.
  • The first new feature is "Rev X-tend". This will give you the ability to have an increased rev limit over stock without having to modify the bike's ECM. No longer will you need to take the bike to the dealer to have the ECM "re flashed" in order to have the higher rev limit your bike needs with modified cams, heads, etc.
  • The second new feature is "Start Fuel". This allows you to add additional fuel during startup. On heavily modified and/or large displacement engines (i.e. 124 Cubic Inch) extra fuel is sometimes required to ease starting. This is a software adjustable setting that makes it possible to increase the amount of fuel injected into the engine during cranking without making the idle overly rich once the engine starts.
