Mistake Synthetic back to oil.
The dealer put regular oil in my 04 Fatboy which was running on synthetic. The bike has 1500 miles on it. Is this a problem? Same thing with the transmission.

No, next change, go back to syn and put gear lube in the trans.

No problem.
Both kind of oils are completly compatible. As says sleepneagle, next time put syn motor oil in the motor and syn gear lube in trans if that's what you want. -- Javi |

Yet another reason to get a service manual and do your own oil service. Cheaper and you end up with what you wanted in the beginning.

You have a problem with your dealerif you asked for syn and did not get it or if you paid for syn and did not get. But it is not problem for your bike to run dino for a cycle. |
