Hello,I am new here, but have read lots of threads. My 2007 Ultra with 6800 miles has oil on the bottom of the lower cases. It's in front of the trans case one inch onto the lower case at the seam in the lowers. The dealer said it is from the road.I have dye in oil and trans, but it doesn't glow when I put black light on the lower case.Anyone have an idea?

First clean it off with brakleen and see if it re-appears. If it does I doubt if it is from the road.

I don't know about the dye but if it's not coming from a seam maybe you have a porous case (casting) that is weeping oil. Several people have reported them on here.

BTW, before you go crazy rule out any practical joker friends who will spray oil on or under your bike to make you go beserk. One of my friends did that and kept coming by and adding gas to my gas tank. I thought my bile was leaking oil and getting 70-80 mpg.

I too had oil in the same area...also noted bike was running little rough..turned out to be a blown rear cylinder head gasget.....

Hope thats not your issue.....
