Is there any way to buff denim paint? I have a light mark where the passenger seat has been you can barely see it from one angle. I was wondering if there is anything you can do to buff it out like on clear coat paint jobs?

I reconditioned paint for 4 years before welding and never worked with flat black, but my best guess is that it'll turn to semi satin and look blotchy as you break down the roughness of the surface which is what makes the paint flat. I've heard of people using WD-40 on old rat rods with flat black paint to cover up imperfections, looks streaky when you put it on but after wiping it with a soft cloth it clears up... I've never tried it though, so If you do and it screws up your paint its not my fault. Also, what I know is safe on paint is Tire shine, I know on a gloss black car it'll hide scratches on panels that aren't directly reflecting back at your eye like rocker panels or bumpers.

In a word - don't - it'll make it go shiney and you will loose that 'denim' look. As someone previously said that's the look - faded denim jeans!
