While the bike was awaing a part to get it running again.  I figured now would be a great time for me to fix the front wheel bearing which has been squealing slightly.  While I'm removing the wheel I notice that one fork is not uncompressing as it should.  Now this is not a HUGE deal as I can just compress the other fork while I'm putting the tire back on, but obviously this is going to cause a problem because without it uncompressing its not going to recover from a bump or obstacle as it should.

Anyone ever experience this and if so how in the world did you fix this?  Should I just heat the sucker up and then "gently persuade" it to move down and then refill the fork oil.

nevermind I got it.  Now I just need to see what type of oil I can use.  I realize that the manual says HD fork oil type 4 or 5, but I gotta find what substitutes for that.
