Default Information on 1950 Harley servicar

I have what began as a 1950 harley Servicar. Someone cut the front end off and put a 80 model wide glide front end on it. none of this welding was done professionally and it was all disguised with paint and bondo. Shortly after I got this machine it broke completely in 2 pieces while i was riding it. Also the back end has met up with a cutting torch. First gear went out in the transmission and the detents on the shifting spool are sloppy. I bought a basketcase transmission for 4125.00. The shifting spool seems good. In order for me to have first gear I must replace the cluster gear. The cluster gear in the basketcase transmission is for an electric starter and will not work with my kick starter. The engine is a flathead and seems to be strong. it starts easily and does not smoke. Are parts still available for this engine? I have not been able to find a service manual for it. The generator is bad and so is the clutch. I would really like to hear from anybody's input on this subject.
Thanks,
Danny

Holy Cow! That must have been a life changing experience when it broke in two while riding. I don't know where you can qet the parts, I know there are parts out there and I have seen some parts for old bikes on E-Bay. Maybe someone else that restores or knows someone who restores old Harleys can help you. I'd do some surfing along the restoration lines if you don't get any help here.

Good luck

First, I hope you hit the wrong key and 4125 is $125. Second, if you want to spend big bucks, HD has a rebuild program, but if you go to Mckay's cycle creations in Shallow Lake , Ontario, he can help. Bob is famous for old bikes, and his bikes have been in all the mags,

I would be happy if I could get it fixed in one year.
