I recently had my bike serviced at 1k.  They went with Amsoil throughout and at the same time, installed mini-apes and cables.  The bike seemed to shutter a bit while engaging the clutch.  I wrote it off as the new clutch cable settling in.  Well, after a  few weeks of no change, I tried the Redline Primary Oil I had gotten some time back.  The shutter is gone and clutch engagement is back to perfect!  The Amsoil 10W-40 that they used in the primary just didn't have the right friction characteristics.  The Redline seems to be about the consistency of ATF.

I had purchased the Redline V-Twin pack and while I was at it, went ahead and put their tranny fluid in and 20W-50 engine oil.  Bike runs/sounds awesome - think I'll stay with the Redline.  I was going to wait until 2k to make the cutover, but at 1.5k and  a couple of oil changes already, the engine appeared to be pretty well broken in.

The redline primary oil is their MTL 70w80 transmission oil. Great stuff.

I'll give another vote for RedLine in all three holes.

How do you like your Thundermax, and what map dd you use? I have an 07 Road King with Vance and Hines slip-ons, stage 1 air cleaner... work well? How was the install? I have a Thundermax Auto une in the box ready to have a local indie shop install... they say they do a lot of them, but I've heard mixed reviews on this shops work - if it's straight ahead stuff, I probably won't worry too much...

The T-Max, with base map 403, has been outstanding so far - no problems.  Getting around 35 mpg around town, but yet to get any substantial Hwy miles on it.

I'm used to RP, what is the MTL?? And, is it the 75 80 for the trans you use?

I'm coming up on my 1K service and have decided not to fall into the trap of the stealers ridiculous charge for simple work! Also, should I wait to switch to Syn's??

70W80 gear lube is approx. the same viscosity as 20W motor oil.

How long has this RedLine been out?? A post above says the MTL is the same as the Primary oil..??? I will have to research this.. Why would they label the same oil under two different names???? Could be the same kind of trouble Break Free oil got into and has since renamed their oil with different part 3's.

I posted in another thread, an FYI, Red Line, is NOT API certified oil! This was straight from the horses mouth when I spoke to, I believe his name was Jeff, at Red Line yesterday. This should only concern you if your bike is still under warranty. If you have engine issues, HD can point the finger at the lube you use and deny warranty. This is a very common practice in the automotive industry now days even when they see aftermarket products/parts installed...  I'm getting ready to switch over to Syns in all 3, but will be sure all 3 meet HD requirements, then there is no dispute!
