Have an 03 Softail Heritage. Have been having some issues with the clutch, pulled the derby cover to adjust only to find that the threads that the adjustment screw go into are stripped..and once I touched it to make this realization I can't get the screw to do anything so I effectively have no clutch functionality at this point. I have little to no experience here, just a broken bike. Looks like this adjustment screw goes into a mainshaft/countershaft assembly...anyone familiar with how hard that would be to replace? (or if this is indeed what I would be needing to replace?)

Called the dealer about getting the bike in for service and they can't even touch this thing for almost 2 weeks...Looks like I took all that extra time off around memorial day weekend for nothing.

Unless I can do this myself I can't even get a trailer to get the bike to the dealer for at least another week....so I'm looking for advice/experienced opinions on this....any info helps.

Thanks in advance.

Get a new push rod end ($20) and rod end adjuster ($5) and a service manual ($60)
