If I see someone kind of shaky riding their scoot wether they are a wild hog poser or a bad ass biker poser then I stay away other than that I dont care what they look like....

I see those folks, and am glad to have them!  There is enough room in the sport for EVERYONE.

Actually, I only ride after work and on the weekends.  Depending on how far I'm going, I might wear my chaps, Aero Vest, along with some earplugs, along with the 1/2 lid, glasses and gloves.

I ride alone.  So, what those think of me, matters little.  Those that do ride know who I am, and see me out there all the time, and I get treated like it, i.e.  They know that I ride to ride, not try to be something I'm not.  I ride.  Those that ride see me, because they are riding too.

Treat others the way you want to be treated.  That's my opinion.

~Joe

The more bikes that are on the road the better. I don't care who's riding them. The more people in cars get used to seeing bikes on the road, the safer it will be for all of us.

The wife and I fit more in the Wild Hogs category. We both bought new bikes this year, and judging by the folks buying bikes when we were...most fit into the same category. You have to have SOME money to play now. The bikes are expensive, the chrome, service, etc all adds up to serious $$.

I like to see riders on the road. More bikes will make other drivers aware.

Hey, who ended up with the hottest girls?  The one guy got Marisa Tomei, smoking hot, and another was married to Jill Hennessy's character, also smoking hot.  And you're saying it would be a bad thing to be one of those Wild Hog guys.   We might not be playing on the same team, you and I.

Now, if you're saying that stuff only happens in Hollywood, let me tell you about Saturday.  I walk in to the dealer to see what their price was on a 210 rear tire and there's this smoking hot biker girl in line at the parts counter shopping for a part for her significant other; about 28-30 y/o, tight, low cut jeans, I think had a tattoo, t-shirt that showed a tight waist, great azz, perfect chest, hot as can be right, hair kind of messed around like she had just had sex or rode in on her bike.  Anyway, I'm out in the parking lot, putting on my gloves and this girl walks up to her clean cut, brand new mercedes, lexus, or BMW, gives me a smile, gets in and drives away.  And you're telling me the "Wild Hog" that girl is with isn't living the high life?

Someone once said you can judge a man by the company he keeps.  Company doesn't get any better than that girl.

I didn't think it was right for the Del Fuegos to call the Wild Hogs posers since they weren't really posing as anything other what they were, suburbanites on a motorcycle trip. Well maybe John Travolta was posing a little bit. Anyway pretty good movie.

If we spent more time living up to the motto - live and let live - then I guess the world would be a nicer and saner place to grow old in.  It seems to me that we are way too judgemental about our fellow biking enthusiatists and HD lovers whom come in all shapes and sizes and from many varied and multicultural barckgrounds.  We should embrace the diversity and be prepared to be humble enough to learn from everyone's point of view.

Never could understand why people have to be judgemental. I've rode and partied with everybody from everyday riders to the 1%'s. I consider most of them my family. Its been a great journey that I hope doesn't end anytime soon. Don't waste your time being judgemental, get out there and ride.

Who's better off on their own, the H.O.G. riders, or the rest of the riding population?  I know some H.O.G. riders that are extremely good riders.  However, that being said, I saw a new guy that rode with our H.O.G. group on a burger run this Friday, lay his bike down in the parking lot of the restaurant because he was gawking instead of looking where he was going.  I give the new ones a little more room, but other than that, it's no big deal.

Don't really seem to understand one's concern over what other people do. It is totally your choice on who you decide to associate with whether it is riding on the road or going to church.

What would it take for you to be comfortable to ride with someone else? Must they only own 3 t-shirts, 2 pair of ratty blue jeans, can't hold a job for more than 2 months straight and ride a '78 Shovelhead?

Because some are fortunate enough to have a decent job and they can afford to buy a bike shouldn't really concern you. If they put 1,000 miles on in one year, but they enjoy doing it, who cares? Let 'em wave all they want. If they ride to Starbucks, so what.

Don't judge others for what they are doing. You make the choice who you ride with.

Ahahaa...this is f'ng pathetic.  Let's see, if you like a movie...a friggin' movie, then you're below being a "biker"?  Priceless.  This place is going to shit, it seems.  Get over your self-imposed image, ride your f'ng bike and quit worrying about what moniker is gonna be attached.  It was a ****ing movie for crying out loud.

I understand what you are trying to say.  I see a lot of them here in SoCal. They are usually middle aged folks, with money, wanting to try something new. Many husband and wife teams who seem to have taken up riding motorcycles as if they were taking up golf. In a way, I think that is great they have the heart to try something new.  The downside is, I think some of them, especially the ladies are in over their heads.  Of course I have seen women that were as good a rider as any but I have seen too many that looked like they would be lucky to make it home. I have seen then drop their bikes when parking, starting them in gear and dropping, waiting for their man to park his bike and then get on theirs to park it.  I was sitting at a stop light and a group of them approached the intersection to turn right, I looked up in time to see one middle aged lady on some kind of exotic chopper coming straight at me with her rear tire locked up.  She had approached the turn way too fast and damn near lost it. Would have taken me and my bud with her. Yeah, I was a new rider at one time also but I have been riding for 33 years and have never been down and I don't consider that just luck. Unlike golf, if you don't get good at riding pretty quick, it could get you killed. So, I wish them all the best and welcome them to the club, but I do keep a close eye on them.

hahaha your golf analogy couldn't be more wrong. I am a 10.3 handicap which means I play a lot of golf and I have seen more injuries from idiot golfers than I will ever see on motorcycles. heck just a month ago my boss (who is a solid 8 handicap) was minding his own business walking up to his ball (in the fairway) at Tijeras creek... when he got whacked in the head by a range ball! he got 12 stitches from that hit and no one even claimed the ball because they new they could get sued (even though he would not have done anything like that)
I have seen people get clocked in the head walking by someone at the range, I have seen a branch fall from a tree and miss Tiger Woods by a foot (it would have put him in the hospital), I have seen people spin and flip a golf cart on a rain soaked fairway when they where trying to slow down going down a fairway.

I maybe see or hear of a motorcycle accident once maybe twice a month and it usually is due to a'hole cager... if you ask me all people getting  drivers license should be required to take the motorcycle test as well! It would teach more drivers to be safe and stay under control at all times...

Judging people who have only been riding for a few years because you have been riding longer is about the same as saying kids that just got their lincense sholdn't be allowed to drive around us, because they don't have any experience and shouldn't be allowed to own a car because of that?? Your a fool if you (Not specifically you but anyone who thinks wild hog types shouldn't be allowed to ride near them) think your special because you have road experience... everyone is susceptable to accidents on a motorcycle as well as in a car. That is why they call them accidents right?

How exactly do you come across them? Do they jump in front of you and say "Hi, I'm a Wild Hogs Biker". So you must not ride at all if you stay as far away from those types of "bikers"?
