I am running a 1996 Bad Boy.  I had a new rear tire put on about a month ago.  Pulled off a 140/90/16 and installed the same size tire.  No problems.  Yesterday I started noticing a sound when backing up my bike.  Looked at the rear tire and it appears the belt is now rubbing the rear tire.  You can see the wear mark on the tire.  Any suggestions on what this could be or how to fix?  Any help would be appreciated as I have to hit the road on Friday to a motorcycle rally and really need to get this fixed prior to that.

well im not sure if it will help you but I just ordered a pully spacer for mine. You can order them pretty thin, less than .250 if need be

Sound to me like the rear tire needs to be aligned properly. If it's cockeyed it will cause the belt to track off on the pulley.Did you install the spacers correctly when you put it back together?

alignment or spacers. if you got a svc manual they tell ya how to check the rear alignment. its actually quite simple.

You have probably already done this, but check you tire pressure.
