I am running a 1996 Bad Boy.  I had a new rear tire put on about a month ago.  Pulled off a 140/90/16 and installed the same size tire.  No problems.  Yesterday I started noticing a sound when backing up my bike.  Looked at the rear tire and it appears the belt is now rubbing the rear tire.  You can see the wear mark on the tire.  Any suggestions on what this could be or how to fix?  Any help would be appreciated as I have to hit the road on Friday to a motorcycle rally and really need to get this fixed prior to that.

Check the belt alignment first. Did you go with another brand of tire? Even though it might be a 140, they do vary slightly between brands. The belt will ride to the inside while backing up, and to the outside while going forward.
