I know this sounds like a contradiction in that we all would rather get to where we're going on the scenic back roads...but alot of times it just ain't going to happen.  Just curious which superslabs or parts of superslabs you find the best in terms of scenery, condition etc. in your experience touring.

I-5 in southern Oregon from Roseburg to the CA line isn't bad and I-84 going up the Columbia River Gorge, a National Scenic Area, is great.  I-84 between Pendleton and La Grande in eastern Oregon is pretty good.

Ride Safe.

I ride a lot on superslabs myself,I enjoy riding I-40,It has some nice senery around the NC mountains,Seems like the people are very curtious on I-40,They don't drive like thier in a big hurry. They will give alot.
Now I-85 is another story,People are running to and fro so quick they will run all over you and not even slow down to see if your dead.Stay safe

I-91 through VT in October and I-87 (the Northway in NY) from around Schroon Lake to Plattsburgh. Good scenery and good road surface.

Do not put I 10 along Gulf Coast as a road you must ride

I-70 in Kansas used to be one of the roughest riding interstates in the country. Don't know if it's been improved since I rode it several years ago. I-10 between Tucson and Phoenix sucks too, there are more rude a$$holes per mile on that stretch than any other road I've ever been on!

I'd agree, though I'd say C d'A to Billings.

Also, I-5 from Blaine (WA/BC border) down to....as far south as you want to go.

I-90 through Wisconsin (LaCrosse to Madison, at least) is a nice ride for the Midwest.

I-15 from Butte to Salt Lake.

I-10 W of Kerrville, TX. Not that the road is anything to speak but the speed limit is 80 MPH.

I-70 East out of Glenwood Springs Co is great.

I-70 across Kansas has largely been rebuilt, but Missouri is rough.

I really like I-70 from the George Jetson house to Glenwood Springs, and I also like I-70 in the Sand Hills region in eastern Kansas.

I agree with that -- but if you are heading to west Texas, then I-10 west of San Antonio to Ft. Stockton is great!  80 mph speed limit, and the road carves through some nice hills and turns -- with the other lanes of traffic so far away from you, you forget they are there....

I 94 in Michigan sucks! It runs from Chicago to Detroit and there are semi''s everywhere as well as terrible road conditions...

Hwy 395 between Ridgecrest CA and Reno NV. Lots of scenery and altitude changes.
