I recently recieved two Lone Wolf barrels for my G27 Glock. One replaces the stock .40 and the other is a 9mm conversion to let me shoot 9mm through it. I took it to the range and fired 25 rounds through the stock barrel and then 25 through the LW barrel. The difference in accuracy was really something. The stock barrel shot in the black at 21 ft, but the LW hit real near the center of the black consistently. Since I reload, folks on the Glock forum, recommended I get the LW because it has complete chamber support for the .40 SW case. However, when I got the LW, I compared it to the staock barrel and it appears that the Stock barrel has been improved - It supported the case, too. But still, the stock barrel has a different kind of lands and grooves than the LW. The LW can handle lead bullets and reloads, too. So, I'm glad I spent the $$$ to get the LW barrel. There were other aftermarket barrels availble, but I didn't want to spend a lot of $$$. Hack

Not the one I bought. It is just as long as the stock barrel. However, you can buy threaded barrels that stick out longer than the slide. You can screw a compensor (I think that's the way they spell it) on and it will reduce recoil and "climb". Hack

How easy is the switch over? How much is the LW barrel/kit? -Denis
