The rear brake master cyclinder builds up pressure after a distance of 3 miles or so. I have adjusted the rod so there is plenty of slack buy it still builds up pressure. I even made a shield to deflect some of the heat from exhaust.

Have you recently bled the brake, air expands faster than fluid with heat and can cause that kind of problem.

A couple of things to check: Assure that the piston in the M cyl is returning all the way. If not it will block the return flow port and the brake will not release. Also assure you don't have the M cyl overfilled. Check and see if your brake light switch is in the up or down position. If it's sticking up it will cause a bubble that won't bleed out. Lastly, check the caliper piston to assure it is not binding in the caliper. Good luck, any of these conditions can cause the problem.

you might check your brake line, sometimes they will collapse inside, master cyl. has enough pressure out, cal.don't have enough to push back. take line off cal. hold below level of m. cyl. see if fluid flows out or drips out, might have to take m.cyl. lid off.
