Rolling Thunder in DC, but wouldn't mind seeing Dierks Bentley, may have to check that out.

Leaving Thursday morning from Jacksonville and heading to the Blue Ridge Mountains.  Will come back via Charleston and Savannah.  1500+ miles in five days.  I can't wait!  Hope everyone has fun!  But first and foremost, please be safe!!!  I don't want any "reports" when I come back next week.

Okay?

You be careful too, Scooter Wench.  It looks like your planning on logging a few miles over the holiday when there will be a lot of people on the roads.

probably hanging out at the pool with the kids.

Everyone be safe this weekend, as always.

And let's don't forget the reason for Memorial Day, and remember those who served, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice, so we can be free to enjoy our weekends.

Thanks vets!!!

Nice! I'd be there too if it were a little closer. I may be riding to N. GA this weekend...not certain yet. But here's mine and my bro-in-law's rides coolin' it in the shade this past Sat. at the Blue Parrot on St. George Island:

Hope the weather will be great for all of you. I dont ride on holidays like that, too many drunks on the road. Everyone be careful out there. I might go early before the drunks come out.

Taking off Friday to go see my parents.  The Atlantic Beach bikefest comes to Myrtle Beach over the Memorial Day Holiday and I find it a good time to be gone.  Too many people on metrics (mostly) to have any fun.  This place just about becomes a parking lot.

Thanks Bart.  We're still undecided whether we are going to do Deal's Gap or not.  I hear it's pretty crazy on holiday weekends.  I'd ratherr take some nice leisurely ride somewhere else where we can enjoy the scenery instead of trying to avoid crotch rockets doing time trials through the turns.  I purposely worked the ride so it would take us two days up and two days back so we wouldn't have to ride at night or all day long.  I don't want to be worn out when I get back.  It's supposed to be relaxing!  We will definitely keep an eye out for the other guy and will report in while we're on the road.  (Taking the laptop and the Blackberry with, heaven forbid I not have my gadgets! That would be uncivilized! LOL)

With the High gas and fuel prices , we notice more people are using Public Transportation. May be more people will be staying at home this week end and burnning burgers on the grill. and stay off the roads.
Every body ride save.
You guys going to Cape Cod , if you see my old GF Patsy Fay tell her Grumpa said "HAY".
