In Preparing for my vacation, I need to install a luggage rack, whiches attaches to the passenger back rest.
I have not bought the rack yet but I originally thought all I had to do was remove the 4 torques and install.
I looking at the location of the bottom torques it appears they are below the fender line and I could potentially scratch my paint.
Does anyone know the procedure?
I though maybe I would convert this to the quick release style if they make such a kit.

I had the quick detach backrest and the large rack on my 03 Heritage.
There were no issues with scratching the fender.
