Anyone have power numbers over stock for shortshots with aircleaner mod and remap with fuelpak or pcIII for a nightster? Which is better fuelpak or pcIII or both if possible?

Really, no one has done this ? Find it hard to believe with all the knowledge on here no has this setup. If you do, did you do the install yourself?

Probably doesn't help you but...06 Carbed 1200 Custom...ran SE II slip-ons (not street legal version), rejet and SE intake. Ran good and fast. Went from SE slip-ons to VH Short Shots and I can feel the power loss on the low and mid RPM's. Don't know the difference on a dyno, but it is plenty enough to notice it. But the sound is so much better.

Leester, I believe the PCIII to be better than the Fuelpak, but it is more expensive too. People that have had the FuelPak don't seem to reccommend it too much... BTW I put just short shots on my N and I can't tell that there is any more power. There may in fact be less low end torque. I haven't received my air cleaner yet and, like you have not decided which module to get.

I've got SE stage one a/c with shortshots and the PCIII. It allows you to change things later and to self tune on the computer, that's why I got it.

blackout85 how does it feel compared to stock? Is there better throttle response or similar to stock im really looking for crispness aposed to all out power? Do you have any of the popping or backfire that some talk about? Also thanks hgiles

I havent dynoed the nightster but I can tell ya that it sure felt quicker after installing the Stage 1 air cleaner, Shortshots (with quiet baffles) and a PCIII. The performance gains are minimal. Its probably more about how you feel about the bike. I know for a fact my bikes are WAY faster right after I spend a Sun morning washing and polishing. Anyway, the PCIII or fuel pac are both fine. PCIII has alot more options to adjust for mileage or performance.
