In november I traded my race car for a 2003 fatboy, it didn't take long for me to be waist deep in making it "mine".  I added a few little things like grips, floorboards and the likes as well as some new pipes.  I got the RC front wheel and a few other things from various members here and the matching rear is on order from hogpro.  I also have a buddy with a body shop and we painted it candy orange with bright silver graphics.  I'm real pleased with it so far and I took the first ride today.

Here's a before pic, and some of it now.

I like it a lot! Nice job. You would never know its the same bike.

That paint reminds me of a Victory I saw last year.

Great looking scoot ... super paint.

You really gotta do something about the mirrors though ... don't fit the style of the bike ... get something sleeker more agressive perhaps.

Good colors! Those pipes look super loud. I have often wondered how new paint affects value considering it is an anniversary edition, maybe somebody knows?

Thanks for the kind words............

bubiker,
mirrors are on the list, I'm kinda financially drained right now though.

Dixie Dreg,
The bike had cycle shacks on it when I got it and I don't think the short shots staggered are that much louder.  Also this thing had no kind of markings or anything to signify it being an anniversary edition, if it had something special about it I probably would've left it.  Instead it was a purple I didn't really care for.

Dixie Dreg,

How do you like the ride with your drag bars?  I'm tall at 6'4" but my torso is what's tall and long arms too.  I put heritage bars on mine but I'm finding myself wanting a bar that I have to reach forward for a little more.  Right now my elbows are pretty bent, what are the specs on your bars?

Did he really say that.  Just kidding, bike looks great man, go with some apes, for your height, 16 or 18's would look killer.

nice looking fatty .... sharp color choice

are you going to sell the wheels that were on the bike when you got it
are they chrome or highly polished aluminum

as far as the Heritage bars, did you have to change out the clutch cable or brake line ??

as an aside...

your shoulder blades will learn to hate you if you put bars on that make you reach forward to far

Thanks again guys......

That fork bag works out great right there, it was on the front when I got the bike and I didn't care for the look but I like having it for smaller things.

All I had to do to use the heritage bars was massage the hardline part of the brake line a little bit, everything else fit no prob.

Also the stock wheels are just cast aluminum with a chromed lip.

Smuff, those bars came on it when I bought it. I believe they are Wild Ones, they are really comfortable, , I like having my palms facing forward and do not like the stock Fatboy bars or RK bars that are essentially parallel to the bike.
