so yeah as it says i want to make some exhaust for my 2002 nightrain(88ci Twin cam), i have the welding skills just need a little push. i see the black coated exhaust and im wondering what that coating is that stands up to all that heat? and where can i get the flanges and bends as i need for the exhaust? also, what size thickness and tubing do you recomend for them? also im new to these new motors, my other bike is a shovel so im used to that, so do you need torque cones for these motors? and no i wont be using any baffles any other tips that could help me i would apreciate it, thanks guys!

Most of the black exhaust they sell is ceramic coated, you can use a high temp paint but I had my girlfriends ceramic coated and the end result was definately worth it, as far as the bends try to locate a used set of big block headers that's your best as far as different bends, good luck!

Go to your local HD dealer and ask the service manager if they have any pipes that are being thrown out and use the flanges and bends off them.
