tie downs?

Hey all! For those of you who are bold enough to have a luggage rack (I'm sure many of you would replace the word bold with a volley of less positive words) what do you use to tie it down with? I've been using bungee cords but they scratch the **** out of my fender (possibly unavoidable) and I'm hoping there are some cheap suggestions...I'd really like to just get a little net or something like what would go on top of an SUV to hold down larger items. Any thoughts aside from "well...just don't use a luggage rack" ok. Plus also, as well, too I'm just venting about the fact that my fender is scratched to hell.

I've got a detachable that I use when commuting to work, the trick is getting some bungee's with either heavily coated rubber ends or plastic type casing's.

I think I got these at either Home Depot or Lowe's.

10-4 on the rubber coated hooks on the bungee's. I'm very careful when putting on and removing.;)

Definitely use the coated hooks and never let any of it get close to the fender.

I have a 2 bag luggage set that I use. It fits over the sissy bar, and has built in tie downs.

I use a bungy net. It has 6 coated hooks, 3 on either side. If I can't haul it with that, I use my truck.
