Ive decided to go with a 23.5 inch wide 18 degree bend black powder coated. I think they would look really good the only thing im worried is about is they may be too straight. I was actually considering brromsticks but they put me too far forward. So i think im gonna get the ones i mentioned. What do u guys think???? should i go with an 18 degree bend or a 27 degree bend?

congrats and good choice

+1 for 18 degree 27 seems like it would be too much

that is correct but they are 32" wide it might be a bit different with narrower bars but i would think a larger degree pullback with a narrower bar would be awkward anyway

i have seen some narrower drag bars that look great but nothing with a 27 degree pullback, 18 should be ok with the narrower bar

I went with the 32's because they only costed 21.95$ and they ended up making the bike excessively stable and easy to throw into corners compared to the buckhorn handlebars that they replaced.

Im not sure if it was the width or the shape of the bars or a combination of both that attributed to this but it worked out great, are you keeping the stock risers or getting higher ones? The stock ones put the bars low and me in a C like position. kinda like a pro street with the low bars. If you are changing grips be careful which ones you choose, different bars and grips create different pressure points on your hands.

I got my recommendations from people on this forum about drag bars and several suggested 32'' but the narrower ones look good too. I just cant personally speak for their handling characteristics the 32's worked great, i think the 23.5's look better than the 32's by far but i could see that 23.5 might be less stable than 32'' just because of where the bar places your hands.

you could try to measure out 2 feet on your Nightster bars and try to lean the bike side to side to give you an idea and then put them back on the hand controls and see the difference that may help

heres a comparative picture of another members bike (jalopy) of a narrower bar
