If you want a Nighster then go for it. Buy what feels comfortable to you. I wouldn't mind buying a Dyna like yours and am seriously looking at doing it. I've seen some pretty cool looking customized Dyna Super Glides. Good luck!

You might want to ride a nightster before you trade. Nightster isn't really a two up bike. Have you thought of lowering your Super Glide? Prospect Ric

Nightster doesn't have the best seat or shocks. Certainly not as good as the Dyna! Maybe go to a Sportster Low or Custom? They look better with a windshield and two up seat. Nightsters don't. Let's see here....a Low or Custom 1200 with Sundowner seat and windshield. The Custom also has forward controls and a two up seat stock, so you can ride with your honey on back while contemplating whether you ride enough to justify a Sundowner. If you get the Custom, all you'll need is a Sundowner seat, sideplates and an upright and backrest. Nightsters are specifically designed to be badass solo bikes, so you'll need two up seat, forward controls, a passenger footpeg kit, different shocks, as well as the other aforementioned odds and ends. If the Dyna feels heavy to you, maybe you should look into another seat? I've noticed everytime I sit on one, the seat just doesn't quite feel right, unlike the Sportsters or Softails. I'm 5'3, 135 lbs male with a 26" inseam and 28" leg length. If I had a Harley BT, I'd get a lowered Fatboy, or a lowered Heritage, minus the shiny studs on the seat and bags! And those are heavy bikes! Teek

I am 5'10" 180. If I had the opportunity and a little more cash I'd have gone with a Street Bob (Dyna). I still love my 1200N though and I am glad I didn't spend the money I really didn't have in the first place on the Dyna.

Whatever you do, lose the windshield.

I ride a Nightster - 5'7" & 195 lbs. The fit is perfect for me so I can see how you might feel more comfortable on it. However, IMO, the Nightster is a raw boned, back road bike. I also do daily urban commuting through 2 lane towns and villages for which it is perfectly suited. Throw on a roll bag on the back and it does exactly what I need it to do. I love the raw, hard feeling the Nightster has. Although it will easily do 65 mph, the Nightster is not really designed for 2 up or windshield. It will do it, but like others have said, probably a Sportster 1200L or 1200C might be a better choice and the fit won't be all that different.
