Do you think that a sufficient amount of surface space is being covered on the rotor - by this 6 Piston PM Caliper.... Look like it's not grabbing as deep as the rear caliper.
Brake seems to work very well - Using Lyndall Z-Pads and surprised the discoloration that is happening.. However - the rotor is as smooth as the day I put it on.

I went with the HD Rear Chrome Caliper as PM does not have one yet for the 08 softails... Furthermore - I'm using HD Pads - because Lyndall does not have Z-Pads for the 08 Softails until June 08 - Supposedly - There is some scarring on the rear w/ the HD Pads - however the discoloration is not as bad. Only about 150 miles thus far

That looks like a damn lot of surface area to me.
I wouldn't be concerned at all.

look @ the pad. The pads are only that wide & you can not get any more than what the pad is designed for. The discoloration is actually the pad material transfered onto your disk. That is how a good brake pad works. Brake material against brake material. It is not discoloration.
