We're messing with stuff we know absolutely nothing about. Animals become extinct for a reason - whether manmade reason or natural. When you start to look at bringing it back, you might be introducing something back into nature we cannot control. What if the Tasmanian Tiger had some kind of disease that could be contracted by other animals and eventually man? And what if we now do not have any kind of immunity to it? What if someone wants to bring back the Sabre-toothed Tiger? But in doing so, they introduce a mutated gene that produces a super cat(or more) that gets loose and reeks havoc on the environment by slaughtering any and all animals it comes against. They have created a super predator which could have no qualms about hunting man as prey. And let us go one step farther because we know that eventually someone with enough money is going to start experimenting with cloning humans. Does this cloned human have a soul? And if cloning someone from a dead person's cells, do they have a soul? Would we be cloning someone who, while having self awareness, would have no conscience? (in reply to TONY STAR) Post #: 5
