Somewhere on the forum I saw a lenghty post that I can no longer find that said the 08 brakes were Squealing.  Dealers all know it and are having a hard time fixing them.  I asked a big dealer in my area last night and they said they had no idea what I was talking about.  They said the 06 had a problem but no problem at all they know of on the 08.  If they were BSing me they lost a sale in the next month I can tell you that!

My 08 FatBoy squeals some when I come to a slow stop. Seems to be coming from the front. Doesn't do it all the time and mostly goes away when the brakes warm up some. I have 4200 miles on it now. It doesn't do it often enough and loud enough to take it in for service. I'm curious to hear others experience.

My 08 SG back brake squeals like a pig! No problem on the front. It is only when I first hit the pedal and then it stops as I apply pressure.  To me it is not a big deal.

Got 12,000 on my 08 and no noise. My buddy got a Classic that was squealing for a while when it was new. He just kept riding it and after a few weeks or so the noise disappeared. Guess everything needed to just break in and seat.
If this is gonna keep you from buying a Harley then you have a problem. Hd doesn't make no bike that is quiet and don't vibrate " well mabe the Vrod "and don't make noise and don't clank when you put it in 1st gear.
Its a beast of its own nature. Either you like it or you don't/

No problem here yet.  Only 630 miles on the Heritage though.

My rear brake squealed like a pig when new, I haven't heard it for the last 5000 miles.
The stealer beveled the edges of the rear rotor, but didn't help.
