Should work ok with Heritage hardware.Basically the same as the Heritage tour pack with different trim. It's the mounting hardware which will have to be specific.

Does HD make the mounting hardware that will fit an 07 Fatboy? Thought I saw an 07 with the same setup. Ratkiller, that's what I want.Looks awesome.

Also, is all that stuff available in quick connect?

There are several types available. Part numbers are 53690-06 for smooth tour pack. 53018-04A for custom leather(original equipment on Road King Custom).

They will fit your 07 FLSTF but need detachable two up tour pack rack or solo rack.

Yes quick disconnect. I take the tour pack off in seconds. Replace it with backrest/luggage rack or just leave it off. Though I seldom do.

Thanks for the information. I have a lot of friends whe either ride ultras or EGs. I want to be able to go on the long hauls with them so I need the storage space, but also like the idea of removing that storage to have my barhopper.

Again, Thankyou and BTW great looking scoot.

Ratkiller, that is one beautiful ride. I don't usually go for the []"full-boat" look, but that works quite well, it really does.

Thanks, since my wife and I ride almost exclusively two up I really needed the extra room. We do some touring andthe T-bag/luggage rackwasn't enough. I puta luggage rack on the top of the tour packand strap the T-bag to that now. We can get all our stuff in for a couple of weeks now.

Hey Big John,

First, WRT what Ratkiller said, the tour pak mount HD sells and he is using will only fit the 06' and earlier softails, and ONLY the 07' and later WITHOUT the 200 mm rear tire. HD does not build a rack to it the softails with a 200 mm rear.

I looked for the last year and a half and had almost resigned myself to having to purchase a rack and cut it in half to stretch it to fit when I found a rack on ebay. Look for "mmcproducts" and give them a shout. They make a black flat plate rack that uses your sissy bar sideplates (detachable or not, does make a difference) as a mounting system. Cost was $50 or so plus shipping and well worth it. Fabrication was very good an the part could be chromed if you want.

What I did was buy the rack and mount it with my detachable sideplates so it makes my whole tour pack and rack detachable.

As for the trunk itself, I bought the DMY series trunk from Mutazu Motorcycle Accessories. They ranged from $110 for black to the $180 for mine in factory paint, and you can add the wrap around backrest and a rack on top or the light bar you see on mine. The trunk is a plastic type construction similar to what the HD tour paks are made of, but not covered with leather. The fit and finish are very good; overall quality is probably not as high as the HD part, but for 1/3 the price who can complain too loudly. Wrap around backrest is vinyl, not leather.

Anyway, for less than $300 shipped, I got what I needed to mount a tour pack on my 07' Fatboy. It looks good, fits nicely, and is very easy and quick to attach and remove (15 seconds tops). Here is a pic.

Regards,

Yosemite,

Yep, I have posted a couple of question specifically asking if HD made the rear rack for the 07. Some folks do not realize the difference between the 06 and 07/08.

I did however see what I thought or at least looked like an 07 with the tour pack. The pics are on my home computer.

Much thanks for the advice, I will give them a call.
