Please excuse me if this was a topic in past, I am brand new here.

Due to raising gas costs, I am looking to drive bike to work and need storage. It don't want saddle bags on all the time. Bike is 2004 Fatboy and I have the detachable luggage rack/sissy option on bike. is there an a saddlebag that will fit, detach and allow me to retain HD detachable mounts for luggage rack? Looking online, many confusing itmes for sale.

thanks in advance

Hi!

I had the same setup on my Fatboy. I had the Harley OEM Leather saddlebags for the fatboy P/N 90320-00D as I kept my stock pipes/mufflers.

I used Bareback saddlebag quick disconnects (for use with detachable sissybar and sideplates. J&P Cycles P/N 830-037). They worked well.

Another option is to get a pair of "throw-over" saddlebags that you can
take on and off easily too.

The bareback are what I am going to use, I have them, but have not installed them yet so I do not have feedback on them.

Easy Brackets make a quck detach system that allows you to maintain your quick release sissy bar and still have saddlebags.  A simple bolt change on fender makes the switch.  The bracket attaches to the back of the bag....unlock, slip off and carry your bag into work.
