Hey all, my name is Shaun. I recently turned 30 and I'm brand new to this. My wife has been having a craving for a few years to start riding as her father used to ride. I, on the other hand, have no inherited riding in my blood. I was originally opposed to the idea, but after looking into it, I've become very excited about getting into it myself. We are in the very initial stages and are both only going to get our permits this weekend. We both live and work in Lititz, PA, which is just north of Lancaster. Any words of wisdom for someone just starting out?

Yup, did a lot of reading on safety already and started looking into the classes. Safety is actually the reason I was originally opposed, but after reading about it, there is a lot you can do to in order to stay safe while riding.

Welcome from Mount Wolf, York County. I just picked up my first Harley from Iron Valley H-D and got to ride it home through the Lancaster countryside. Being outside the cage give you a whole new perspective on the area. (like just how much of the county smells like cow dung) Good luck with the MSF course. It's a world of info that's keep you safer when you hit the road.
